As November comes to a close, it brings me nothing but the greatest joy to share this collaborative gratitude post. When I used to work for iHOMES COLORADO, I would give the opportunity to our agents to participate in a daily gratitude social media post throughout the month of November. I really enjoyed doing this with them because it gave us all the opportunity to think about what we are most grateful for in the present moment. Gratitude is something that I believe should be practiced daily but it is something that can easily become routine and possibly not as much of a mindful practice as time goes one. By choosing to voice your gratitude, it allows you the opportunity to really think about those special beings, moments or things in your life.
Plus, my greatest joy comes from seeing just how diverse gratitude can be. From praising our loved ones, to our fur-babies, to time at the beach or love for our careers – there is no right or wrong, there is just a feeling of stopping to be thankful for where we are in our lives, the moments that shine and the beings who make those moments the brightest.
I am truly thankful for my Promoting Passion Convention Community for sending in their gratitudes to me for the month of November. I consider these individuals as my creative family and am so grateful to each one for participating. Please take a moment to read there gratitudes, find them on social media and give them a follow or share a post of theirs.
I hope that everyone had a magical November.

“I’m grateful for the small moments we have everyday to find stillness. I’m grateful for the ocean that speaks peace and action at the same time.”

“Something I’m grateful for….You. You were one of the first people who hugged me after my speech at PPC. You were one of the first people to come up to me and tell me what I spoke about made a difference in your life. I’ve never had a voice or at least never felt like I had a voice worth hearing. You made me feel heard and you made me feel like I’ve made a difference. You made me feel like I’ve known you forever even though we just officially met the evening before. You gave me comfort and strength before my speech and wrapped your arms around me like we were lifelong friends after. I’m very grateful for you…..for knowing you and now for being able to call you a true friend. Thank you for being exactly who I needed and when I needed.”

“This is my favorite shot of Larry, doing what he does best, carrying my gear. This was taken on the trip we did following PPC 2016. He is always at the top of my gratitude list. I met him 45 years ago in December and we are still head-over-heels in love. I am a very lucky woman.”

“Right now I am most grateful for PPC, I know that I have been saying this a lot and I am probably getting tiresome, but it has to be the biggest thing that has ever happened to me.
I am grateful for discovering the light that has always been with me, I am grateful for discovering a part of myself that I didn’t even know still existed.
Since PPC started, I have been grateful every day for every one of the incredible life-changing people I met there, including you.”

“The last few years have been tough beyond measure – a divorce after more than 20 years of marriage, moving twice, becoming an empty nester, financial frustrations, and figuring out who I am. I’m grateful for the challenges that have pushed me out of my comfort zone and toward my best most authentic self. Most of all, I’m grateful for this crew – My kids (the littlest is a grandchild).”

“From the moment she was born, and every one since, my daughter has brought color and beauty back to my world. A world that had become colorless with the waiting to see if she would show up. A black and white world, grown dark and crumpled around the edges suddenly became full of bold colors, brighter and more beautiful than it had ever been. With one touch she brought back the colors and smoothed the places that had become wrinkled. She is the most amazing person to ever walk this planet and for the gift of getting to be her mom, I will forever be grateful.”

“I’m grateful for continuation of family growth. This is my first grandchild and she helps me remember I am part of something bigger than myself…the family unit continues. I’ve lost both parents, a younger sister, and two close friends, but she brings new life, hope and memories to be made.”

“I am so grateful for my best friend Lacy. I met her through the photography community and she has been a shoulder to cry on, an ear to vent to, and a willing model anytime I need to try out new ideas. We attend conferences together and learn and share, even though we work in the same genres in the same community. Most importantly she allows me to be my honest self without judgment. That is a rare and precious gift and I don’t take it for granted. I hope I am the same for her.”

“I have so much I am grateful for. I am grateful for my mind and the ability to reflect and take in the world around me. So I can explain what I see and how I feel through my art to the world. Sometimes it can feel overwhelming but I think it’s because of how powerful of a tool it is.”

“I’m grateful that I’ve grown out of the need to be who I was. I’m committed to embracing and loving all versions of who I might be. I’ve done this by creating different types of art. I’ve done this by letting go of people who don’t serve me. I’ve done this by moving to a town where I know no one to start over, and by acknowledging that being bad at something is the most liberating feeling. This image of a guitar is the most meaningful to me right now. It represents moving into unknown territory, the thing I am most grateful for. I spent a late evening with my dad recently as he tried to teach me to play the guitar; I was terrible at it, but he was so proud. It was a reminder that we need to see ourselves from the eyes of those who are most proud of us. It is a very liberating way of viewing yourself. I am grateful that I can see myself with clarity.”

“I am so grateful right now for my family. I have a loving husband, three beautiful, inside and out, kids who are all healthy. I have a wonderful mom and I am grateful she is here to listen to me and be the ear I need some times. Even with her daily fight with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer she still takes the time to be there for us and all her family. I know how lucky I am to have all my family and want to be sure I never take it for granted. This is why, in everything I do, I look for the color and joy in it. Even in the hard times there is always light and joy to be found. This image of my family makes me so grateful. And the other image, one of my pieces from the ‘In My Dreams’ series, alludes to the magic, joy, light and love, I look for in the everyday.”

Anna D. Bruce of Fiercely Powerful (me!)
“I could write a book about everything that I am grateful for. My husband will always be my number one – not only because he loves me for all of my weird, quirky, skull-loving self that I am but because of all of the sacrifices he makes so that I can pursue my dreams. He totally gets me and all that he does for me never gets placed in the “for-granted’ bin. I am grateful for my family who are just the awesomest family anyone could ever ask for. I cherish how they always want to celebrate all the big and small moments and make all our celebrations extra special. I am grateful that they too are my biggest cheerleaders in life. I am grateful for my health. I am grateful for my two older fur-babies who brought us so much joy one December eve and continue to light up our world with snuggles, cuddles and their rambunctious personalities.
This year, I wanted to highlight a special little being who unexpectedly (and very expectedly) came into my life this summer (someday I will share her full story). I never realized how much a tiny 5lb dog could brighten my life but she does everyday. I am grateful for her endless love for us and how she is always happy to see me. I am grateful that she can turn my frowns upside down and that she is able to make working from home less lonely. She is my buddy and I am so happy that she came into my life. I am grateful that she and my other two kiddos can tolerate each other without any major drama and that she is finally starting to warm up to her big sister Leela. I am grateful that Leela is teaching her all those bad habits that I wish a big sis wouldn’t teach but that make their relationship all that much stronger. We don’t have children and each one of my fur-children brings me joy in ways that I never thought an animal could. I love them all so much.”
