Duality; we are vast beings within this human shell. We are expansive beyond measure. We are beings capable of so much yet can be held back with so little. Society boxes us into being just one thing for most of our lives. For some people, that works well but not for me. I am a vast expansive Universe of creative energy. Free and weird. Don’t mask me with what you think I should be. Let me be free and let my passions collide. I am more than one thing. I am multiple things. I have multiple loves. I want multiple ways and I will not rest until I am okay with that.
Duality is so much of who I am yet something that I have struggled to accept for as long as I have lived. I get bored very easily and I love the idea of having multiple passions to fall back on. As a Gemini, the twins are often resembled with the term “duality” and I believe that my personality echos that perfectly. These are my twins, both the same yet different. In their world, their energies blend together to form one harmonious energy around them. As someone who likes a touch of glamour, the shiny masks represent how I have managed to hide myself behind things that I may pass off as “more than they may seem” to the public.
We and only we know who we are on the inside.
What sets your heart on fire? Do you choose to hide or openly accept all the wonderful things that make up your whole being?
This speed edit of Duality is the longest speed edit that I have created. Initially, when I began creating this image, I really thought it would be easy to replace the color of the grass. But then, as I got deeper and deeper into the edit, nothing felt right. At one point this image looked like it was branded by Pepsi! It was really frustrating. Finally, I came upon a color of grass that I was happy with. I kept the whole editing process of Duality to show you everything that went into making this image. Duality took me about 20 hours to edit and about 35 minutes to photograph.
